Heritage Vivant Living Heritage Facts

Founded:
The Acadian Village was opened on July 1, 1976. It was built on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ayotte, who were local farmers. The first of the historic buildings was moved onto the site in December of 1975.

Facilities:
L'Heritage Vivant encompasses a recreated Acadian village. This village contains a general store, schoolhouse, blacksmith's, chapel, railroad station, several houses and other structures.

June 15th - September 15th
Daily: noon - 5 p.m.

Activities:
Note: Though normal season is listed as lasting from June to September, special tours scheduled for 10 or more guests are available from May 31st - October 1st.
